We work with couples who value adventure, laughter, and vibrant love. Though we often document weddings close to Michigan City, Indiana, wedding videography and photography takes us all over this big ol’ world. We’re ready to go anywhere your love takes you: on a fire escape 27 stories high in downtown Chicago, on the windy edge of Lake Superior in Minnesota, and even in the rain on a mountain in the middle of nowhere Alaska. (And yes, these are all real locations where our couples have gotten married!)

The Highlight Film
Your wedding day deserves a cinematic story. Our Highlight Films capture the most unforgettable moments of your celebration, weaving them into a beautifully edited film that feels like a movie trailer. Your Highlight Film will be centered around what you love most and set to a genre of music of your choice.
The Guest Interview Film
Imagine if your wedding had its own episode of “The Office” or “Parks and Rec”, but starring your favorite people. That’s exactly what our Guest Interview Films are like! We pull aside your family, wedding party, and closest friends for candid, hilarious, and heartfelt interviews about your love story. Yes, the best man might roast the groom. Or your maid of honor might spill the tea about your lovable quirks. And it’s all part of the fun. Your grandparents will probably share the sweetest marriage advice, and your cousins will probably tell stories of what you were like as a kid. All of this will be captured in a documentary-style film that feels personal and downright unforgettable.
These films are perfect for couples who want more than just cinematography—they want the real, unscripted thoughts from their guests. Like a time capsule of the people who mean the most to you, our Guest Interview Films add a whole new level of personality to your wedding memories!
To create this type of film, we will set up a station at Cocktail Hour where your guests can share memories, advice, funny stories, or answer any questions you want for us to ask them. This 20 - 30 minute film will make you laugh, and it may also bring you to tears. Years after the wedding day, when you need to hear the voice of a friend or family member, all you have to do is rewatch this.
The Ceremony Film
Your wedding ceremony is the heart of your day. It’s the moment when everything becomes official. Our Ceremony Films preserve everything from start-to-finish with professional audio and multiple camera angles. Because you should be able to relive your wedding ceremony exactly as it happened.
We use high-quality microphones to record your vows, officiant, and the music. We also use 3 or 4 strategically placed cameras to capture the most important angles: the walk down the aisle, each of your faces as you exchange vows, a wide-angle of the event, and your exit as a newly married couple after your first kiss. Maybe it will be in a vineyard in southwest Michigan. Or maybe it will be in Yellowstone National Park. Whatever the setting ends up being, we’ll make sure those moments are documented in the best way possible.
Most films are 15 - 30 minutes, but we also include the option to extend the length if you have a longer ceremony or if you want to include your first look.
The Reception Film
Your reception is where the real party happens! There’s laughter, dance moves, sentimental toasts, and moments that make the night unforgettable. Our Reception Films preserve the best parts of the celebration. And even if your party is going to be a super chill gathering of friends under backyard string lights, this film is worth having!
You can choose the events from your day to be captured "as is" and weaved into a film 15 - 30 minutes long. You’ll laugh, cry, and relive the magic over and over.

The flowers are going to fade. The cake is going to get eaten. The venue will close at the end of the night. Life will resume as normal before you know it. So if you are going to stretch your budget for something worthwhile, opt for 9 - 10 hours of wedding video coverage. You'll have a richer, more complete story of your wedding to look back on. We will capture everything from the excitement of getting ready in the morning to the dance floor fun late at night. There's no rush to squeeze all the important moments into a short window, so you can enjoy your day without stressing about the timeline. Plus, you'll get more footage for your films!

Our main goal is to edit and deliver beautifully polished wedding films, but we also understand the desire to have access to all raw footage, so it can be purchased as an add-on to your package.

This is entirely dependent on the package that you book with us— the bigger the package, the longer it will take for all films to be delivered. That being said, our average turnaround time ranges between 10 - 20 weeks. It's important to note that turnaround time is also subject to change based on our schedule, influx of orders, personal circumstances, and other unforeseen variables. We value the integrity and transparency of Wind & Waves Media, so we will be sure to keep you updated with the expected delivery dates!

During the wedding, we capture all of your video footage on at least 3 cameras. Each camera dual-writes every single video clip to two different SD cards. After the wedding day, we back up all of the SD cards all up to 2 different hard drives. That should give you plenty of confidence in how we keep your videos safe!

Once you book your package, we'll discuss your musical preferences to find songs that best fit your films. Since your films will be published online (in a shareable YouTube link), it's necessary to purchase music licenses for use in the films. We have a music subscription that gives us access to a huge library, so we will make the final selection the music included in the films.

Your film delivery will include a custom YouTube link + a private download link, ensuring you can keep your memories close at hand, ready to share with loved ones. Our goal is to make receiving and enjoying your films as seamless as possible!

To book your wedding package, a non-refundable retainer fee of $500 is required. Our schedules fill up quickly each year, so even if you haven’t picked a date and location yet, make sure you submit this deposit to ensure that you’ll have us as your video team!
