When will we get our photos after our wedding?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos 4-6 weeks after your big day (sometimes less, depending on the busyness of our schedule). Then you can download all of the photos from the gallery, share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!
Do you have wedding liability insurance?
Yes!
How many digital images do you deliver for weddings and elopements?
This is totally dependent on the amount of coverage that you book. If you book a Full Day Adventure Elopement Package, you will receive between 700 - 900 professionally edited images. If you book our Bronze Intimate Wedding Package, you will receive between 200 - 400 images. We deliver quality rather than quantity, so you will be receiving the best photos that convey your love story!
How do you plan for unexpected weather?
We generally communicate with clients about "bad weather" possibilities 2 - 4 days prior to the session/wedding. We always encourage couples to have a backup location or some clear umbrellas for outdoor photos. Wild weather makes for some pretty awesome photos/films, and if you embrace it, we will undoubtedly have a memorable experience. We've never had any of our gear damaged by snow, rain, mud, sand, etc. in the past, thankfully!
Do you travel outside of the U.S.A. for weddings and elopements?
1000% YES YES YES
We will travel as far as your feet can take you! Seriously, we are all about adventuring with you to create spectacular images together. If you are planning a destination wedding, let me know as far in advance as possible! We like to book these 10-14 months in advance.
I'm not sure where I want to get married, but I know I want it to be an adventurous experience. Can you help me find a location?
YES. We love this part! Carly is the one who will help you find beautiful, secluded location options. Once you book Wind & Waves Media, we're happy to help you narrow down the locations and choose a spot that's perfect for you. We'd encourage you to consider a place that is special to you (as opposed to choosing common tourist destinations). For instance, a vast, open desert might mean more to you than a popular canyon with groups of people standing around. We prefer to work in places that aren’t overrun with people or other photoshoots going on, because it keeps the experience more intimate for couples.
What should I expect for my family/couples photo session?
One hour of lots of music, movement, and goofy prompts to get your real smile out there! When people plan an activity during a session, I find waaaaaay more opportunities to capture those gorgeous, authentic smiles instead the ones that get plastered on. It's so important that I do my job making you feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera, so I also bring a speaker and my Spotify playlists, and you get to pick the genre of music. Though I want you to have the freedom to try different poses, I also provide abundant verbal instruction during the shoot.
